First let’s think about that wrapping 🎁 Recently need articles have been publishing about how the majority of wrapping paper is non-recyclable, so let’s look at some options you have make you’re presents stand out while still being plastic free 🙌🏻
Brown parcel paper and newspaper are some great alternatives which can be jazzed up or made minimalist to your taste 🎁 I love the idea of drawing and stamping on presents to personalise them, or writing a Christmas message to avoid needing a tag! You could definitely get your kids involved on a rainy day to personalise some wrapping paper! 🖍🎨 Another thing to think about is how you wrap, cello tape is plastic so why not try some paper tape which is made from recycled paper too, or find some plastic free string? 🎉 . I have put a photo of the paper tape from @ingreens which you can find on their website, and I love finding string that’s sustainable, for example this recycled newspaper string from Trade Craft! 📰 Putting some sprigs of Christmas plants or pine cones can really spice up your wrapping! 🌿🍁 Remember wrapping is an option, but so is not wrapping. Taking presents in a big sack or stocking, wrapping in cloth and fabric, and giving them out unwrapped like Santa is also an option, or this could work in your own house! 🌿
