Always try to refuse single use plastics ✋🏼, but sometimes they’re just impossible to avoid 😩
So when you have no other option here’s a guide for consuming in the “most sustainable” and recyclable way: .
This might not look like luxury. But every morning this is gold. For over a year I was waking up and having oats and water for breakfast because I refused to buy milk in plastic bottles, or use alternatives which were worse for the environment. But now - milk in glass bottles. This is just a simple post to talk about how personally I sacrifice the things I like because of the environment, but I am always hopeful that an alternative comes around (which it did). This is probably the most #firstworldproblems post ever; cries over lack of milk in the morning. I’m just showing that some of my zerowaste journey has been a total fail and ended up with me cutting out stuff completely. However I am hopeful with so many bulk food stores and more people waking up to the environmental crisis we’re in that more and more solutions keep popping up to avoid plastic and live more for the environment! Yawn - I’m going back to bed - I’m SO not a morning person.
